Protest to Stop Financing of Oakland Coal Terminal

Outside a San Francisco conference for investment professionals who belong to a group called Principles for Responsible Investment, we’ll be exposing the Bank of Montreal’s irresponsible financing of the coal terminal proposed by Bowie Resource Partners and fronted by Oakland would-be coal developer Phil Tagami … with an aim to exposing the devious cover-up of this investment’s true nature and risk. Our aim is twofold: convince Bank of Montreal to back away from arranging financing for the coal terminal; and persuade the people who advise pension funds that the bank hopes to hoodwink with this losing investment to avoid participating in funding the toxic and risky project.
