The bench trial is being heard by Alameda County Superior Court Judge Noël Wise, in Department 514 at the Hayward Hall of Justice, 24405 Amador St.

The trial consolidates a suit brought by would-be coal developer Phil Tagami in December 2018, and a suit brought by the City of Oakland against Tagami-controlled corporate entities in May 2020.
