Help Get Our Yard & Window Signs Everywhere

If you want a No Coal in Oakland yard sign or a Keep Trump’s Dirty Coal Out of the East Bay yard sign, or a Keep Trump’s Dirty Coal Out of the East Bay window sign — just fill out this short form. If you live between Oakland and Richmond or nearby, we can drop one off at your door or stick it in the ground outside your home (we’re expanding our ‘delivery zone’ as volunteers expand our capacity/range). We can also supply more signs if you or your organization want to help with distribution.

Table with & for the No Coal campaign

Keep Coal Out Bay Area frequently tables at farmers markets and other events to spread the word.  Check out our events calendar to see our upcoming tabling events and drop by to help out!  Additionally, fill out this form or email us at volunteer@nocoal.org to receive support in tabling at your own event and to join our tabling community!

Become a No Coal Volunteer

No Coal in Oakland runs entirely on volunteers. We need help to do everything from setting up for public events, writing articles for the website, researching the what the coal industry and developers are up to, and keeping our elected officials informed about the strength of our movement against coal.  To volunteer, fill out this form or email us at volunteer@nocoal.org.

Get Your Organization to Join the Coalition

Our power comes from organization. The Keep Coal Out Coalition is bigger than No Coal. Our meetings include representatives of West Oakland Neighbors, Bay Area 350, Sierra Club, SF Baykeeper, and Youth vs Apocalypse. If you are a member of an organization that may want to participate actively in the Coalition, send an email to coalition@nocoal.org so we can follow up.

Sign on to Our Open Letter to the Bay Area Air District

In case the developers raise the hundreds of millions they seek to build a dystopian waterfront coal terminal, regulation to protect us from asthma, cardiopulmonary disease, and cancer must be in place. No Coal in Oakland and its coalition partners have crafted an Open Letter to the Bay Area Air District (BAAD, formerly BAAQMD) asking for that protection. Join us in endorsing the Open Letter to urge the Air District’s staff and Board of Directors to prioritize this issue. To learn more and sign on to the letter, go here.

“If you don’t like the news, go out and make some of your own”

The hundreds of millions of dollars to build a coal terminal will never materialize if investors realize that building a coal terminal in the East Bay will meet fierce local opposition that won’t quit. If you have ideas for how to get our message across, email us at ideas@nocoal.org.
