Youth vs Coal invites support at Tagami’s Rotunda Building

August 4, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Oakland’s own Youth vs Coal announced a dramatic action asking Phil Tagami to decide which side he is on: youth vs. coal. The action is on Friday August 4th, and “people of all ages are welcome to come support” the group. Here in their own words:

The fight against coal is not over. Developer Phil Tagami says he is a supporter of youth, but he is trying to force Oakland to be polluted by coal.

Next Friday, August 4th at 11 am, youth will be at Phil Tagami’s Rotunda building, 300 Frank Ogawa Plaza, trying to fight for our right to clean air. We will be performing a scene that will be asking Phil Tagami to decide where we are heading and which side he is on: youth v. coal.

We don’t want his lawsuit for coal for many reasons:

1. Coal is a toxin and gives people asthma attacks.
2. You are burning our place down with climate chaos.
3. We don’t want Trump’s government to make the rules for Oakland.
4. The city has better things to spend money on than this.

If you want to participate and work with other youth to get your voice heard please contact us at youthvcoal@gmail.com.
